🔹Today, a forum on the topic "Mediation is a pillar of reconciliation" began in Shymkent as part of the "Reconciliation and Reconciliation" project, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

🔹The goal of the two-day event is to promote the potential of ethnomediation by increasing the experience of local mediators and sharing best practices in conflict resolution.

🔹The forum was attended by the leadership of the city's Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs, the deputy chairman of the city's ANC, employees of law enforcement agencies and the Department of Justice, professional mediators from mediation centers, school psychologists, and representatives of public structures and ethnocultural associations under the city's ANC.

🔹Zangar Usipakhmetov, Acting Head of the City Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs, addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of the event organized within the framework of the "Reconciliation and Reconciliation" project. He spoke about the significant contribution of the rational use of the potential of ethno-mediation to maintaining peace and stability in society.

– The main condition of a civilized society is the rule of law and the rule of law. Mediation reconciles the parties and prevents the escalation of an unsolved dispute. The fact that the Head of State has entrusted the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan with the further development of ethno-mediation is due to the needs of the time, – said Zangar Nyshanbekuly.

🔹On the first day of the forum, the director of the Abay regional branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professional mediator Asset Abzhakov, addressed the participants and gave a meaningful presentation on modern approaches in the field of mediation and the development of ethnomediation practice. Also, a representative of the said academy, professional mediator Gulzhan Kozhakhmetova, gave a practical lecture to the participants on effective models of conflict resolution and the professional ethics of a mediator.

🔹It should be noted that the continuation of the forum will be held on October 22 in the building of the "M.Baygut Student House" of Zh. Tashenov University in Shymkent. According to the program, professional mediators will give lectures to the participants on topics aimed at developing ethnomediation, and jointly discuss their experiences and best practices. At the end of the forum, special certificates will be awarded to the participants.
