In order to protect the interests of the working population, compulsory social insurance provides for social benefits in cases of social risks related to: disability; loss of breadwinner; loss of work; loss of income due to pregnancy and childbirth; loss of income due to adoption of a newborn child (children); loss of income due to child care upon reaching the age of one and a half years.

The amount of social benefits from the State Social Insurance Fund (Fund) is calculated individually and directly depends on the timeliness and completeness of the social contributions paid to the Fund. It should be noted that social contributions are not deducted from the employee's salary as mandatory pension contributions, but are paid at the expense of employers and (or) individual entrepreneurs.

In this regard, we recommend that the participants of the system check the social contributions actually received by the Fund. This can be done through the e-government portal. egov.kz (Home Page/Employment and employment/Information about social contributions of compulsory social insurance) or in the mobile applications of second-tier banks, as well as by contacting the branches of the Government for Citizens State Corporation (State Corporation) or a branch of the Fund with an identity document.

Today, it has become easier to make social payments thanks to digital services.

You can apply for social benefits from the Fund both traditionally through the offices of the State Corporation, and electronically, without leaving your home.

Increasingly, social benefits are awarded proactively: if the information systems of government agencies have all the necessary information, the system participant receives an SMS message from the unified contact center "1414" about the realization of the right to receive payments. In case of receiving consent to this SMS message, the payment is assigned proactively.

In addition, you can apply for social benefits in one of the following ways::

- in case of disability: in case of initial determination of the degree of loss of general disability, through the department of Medical and Social Expertise, and if there is information about disability, through the egov e-government portal.kz or by contacting the State Corporation;

- on the occasion of the loss of the breadwinner: through the egov e-government portal.kz or by contacting the State Corporation;

- in case of job loss: when registering as unemployed - through the portals of the Electronic Labor Exchange enbek.kz , egov e-government.kz or a Career Center, and if there is information about registration for the unemployed - in the mobile applications of second-tier banks or by contacting the State Corporation;

- on pregnancy and childbirth: through the egov e-government portal.kz or by contacting the State Corporation;

- child care for up to one and a half years: through the egov e-government portal.kz, mobile applications of second-tier banks, or by contacting a state corporation.

If the applicant submitted the application electronically, the deadline for assigning social benefits is 4 working days, and in the case of applying through a State Corporation - 8 working days.

It should be noted that when assigning social benefits, the Fund's branches verify the authenticity of documents (information). In cases of detection of late or incomplete payments, as well as inconsistencies between the paid social benefits and the employee's income, which is estimated based on the listed amounts of mandatory pension contributions, the Fund's branches send an electronic mock-up of the case for additional registration. In such cases, the appointment period is extended to 30 working days and additional information is required from the relevant government agencies, the employer, etc.

The effectiveness of the system is confirmed by specific figures. In the Kyzylorda region, for 8 months of this year, social contributions to the Fund were received for 204,848 thousand participants of the system in the amount of 15.0 billion tenge. During this time, more than 55,893 thousand people have already received payments in the amount of 26.6 billion tenge.
