As part of the implementation of the "Law and Order" ideology, on October 22, 2025, the Department of Justice of the Kostanay region, together with the Republican and regional Bar Associations, held a conference on the topic: "Protection of professional rights of lawyers - a guarantee of respect for the rights of citizens and the interests of legal entities."
The purpose of the conference is to discuss topical issues related to ensuring the independence of advocacy, compliance with professional guarantees of lawyers, as well as strengthening cooperation between government and law enforcement agencies, the legal community and civil society institutions.
The conference was attended by the leadership of the Republican Bar Association (online), representatives of the Kostanay Regional Bar Association, the Prosecutor's Office, the Department of Economic Investigations, the police, the regional court, the penal enforcement system, teachers of higher educational institutions and students of the law clinic.
The following issues were considered during the discussion:
• the main directions of improving legislation in the field of advocacy;
• Mechanisms for protecting the professional rights of lawyers;
• The role of the legal profession in ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of citizens and legal entities;
• Practical aspects of lawyers' interaction with law enforcement and judicial authorities.
Following the results of the conference, proposals and recommendations were developed aimed at strengthening the institution of advocacy and increasing the effectiveness of legal protection of citizens and organizations.
