The staff of the DUIS in the Abai region celebrated the Day of Unity of the peoples of Kazakhstan with pensioners. 

             On the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, the staff of the institution No. 20 DUIS in the Abai region organized a concert program for pensioners living in the center of active longevity of the city of Semey.

             The staff of the institution prepared a vivid performance for the elderly, which featured compositions of modern Kazakh pop music, patriotic songs, as well as poems and excerpts from the works of Abai Kunanbayev. All the works were performed in different languages, which allowed the audience to admire the creative legacy of the great poet again.              The Center for Active Longevity was opened on the initiative of the akim of Semey and serves more than 400 pensioners. All conditions have been created here for the active daily life of the elderly: physical therapy classes, medical services, occupational therapy, language courses, dance clubs and psychological trainings. The main goal of the center is to adapt the elderly to an active, creative and business life.

          — I learned from my friend that the UIS staff is organizing a concert for pensioners. We are very grateful for the bright performance. We all do what we love, continue to develop, take care of our health, and dance. We like that we have the opportunity to be inspired and energized," said pensioner Aisulu Mukhtarkhanova. — The Longevity Center regularly holds charity concerts for grandparents living in social service organizations. UIS staff always take care of pensioners, support them in various activities, because respect for elders is the duty of every person," says the head of the center for active longevity  Semeya Meruert Omarova.

               — Respect for the older generation, caring for the elderly is an important part of our work. We always strive to create conditions for an active and fulfilling life for older people," said Zhenisbek Daurenbekov, head of the institution.
