A solemn event dedicated to the professional holiday of forestry workers and rescue service personnel was held with the participation of the Akim of the district, Berik Sarmenbayev. The event was attended by the Chairman of the District Maslikhat, Yerzhan Azhikenov, Chairman of the District Council of Veterans, Musa Keldibayev, district veterans, as well as heads and employees of law enforcement agencies, forestry institutions, and the rescue service.

The Akim of the district congratulated the industry specialists on their professional holiday.

“This year, the celebration coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the establishment of the national rescue system. The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noted: ‘Risking one’s own life to save others is a true act of heroism. In difficult moments, people first and foremost expect help from rescuers. Today, civil protection officers impeccably fulfill their duty and are always ready for self-sacrifice.’ Over the past 30 years, the role of rescue services has grown significantly, and ensuring the safety of citizens and the entire country has always remained a matter of national importance. For civil protection workers, saving lives, preventing emergencies, and protecting every citizen are the primary responsibilities. The rescuers of our district honorably carry out their mission, demonstrating courage in the face of any difficulty.”

Environmental protection, ecosystem restoration, and the expansion of forested areas are an important common cause. As part of the Head of State’s directive to improve the environmental situation and protect nature, the staff of the Syrdarya Forest and Wildlife Protection Institution are making a tremendous contribution by planting saxaul trees across 1.1 million hectares on the dried seabed of the Aral Sea. On the initiative of the regional Akim, work is being carried out in the region to expand forest territories, intensify scientific research, introduce new technologies, and modernize the material and technical base of the forestry sector. Environmental services in our district actively participate in forest fire prevention, restoration of green areas, ecological education, and the “Clean Kazakhstan” campaigns. I am confident that, following the wisdom of our ancestors, “Do not leave wealth — leave a tree for posterity,” every resident of our district will contribute, together with you, to the preservation and multiplication of our forest wealth,” noted Berik Abdigapparovich.

During the event, forestry workers and rescuers were awarded medals, letters of appreciation from the regional Akim and district Akim, as well as certificates from relevant departments and authorities. Creative groups from the district presented a concert program, giving the audience a festive atmosphere.
