Tirana, October 21, 2025 – A formal ceremony was held in the capital of Albania to mark the official opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by Ambassador of Kazakhstan Iskander Aysariyev and Deputy Minister for Europe and foreign affairs of Albania Megi Fino, Mayor of Tirana, Kazakhstan’s Honorary consul, representatives of Albanian government and Ministry of foreign affairs, members of diplomatic corps, business community, media, and local public. The traditional cutting of the symbolic ribbon marked a new chapter in Kazakhstan-Albania relations.

Ambassador Aysariyev, in his remarks, highlighted the historic importance of the Embassy’s opening, calling it a significant step toward deepening bilateral cooperation across all areas. He emphasized the steady development of political dialogue at the high and highest levels, the strengthening of intergovernmental and interparliamentary ties, and the consistent expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two nations.

Deputy Minister Megi Fino praised the decision of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to open the Embassy in Tirana, describing it as a sign of trust and a commitment to strengthening a partnership based on mutual respect and shared values. She also underscored both countries’ mutual interest in promoting political and trade-economic cooperation, as well as their reciprocal support on the international stage.
