This year, our country has reached the anniversary of its independence. 35 years ago, the Declaration of Independence of Kazakhstan was adopted. On this day, our centuries-old tradition of statehood was revived. Soon, our people raised the flag of Independence. Historical justice was established, and the spirit of the nation was exalted. Therefore, this day can be called a solemn day that paved the way for our people to become an independent country.

"Independence is our most precious value. To preserve and strengthen it is a sacred duty common to all of us. Sovereignty is a clear manifestation of the unfading heroism of our ancestors in the interests of the nation."

"The great thinker Abish Kekilbayev said, 'Only those who seek lessons from the past and hope for the future can move forward.'" We pay tribute to all state and public figures who have left an indelible mark on the history of the nation at every stage, and we will never forget them.

At the same time, we look to the future with great hope and confidence, and strive for lofty goals. Over the years, our country has achieved many milestones. We have become recognized throughout the world as a sovereign state. We have strengthened our borders, strengthened our foundations, and ensured our security. We have strengthened our unity, and thanks to peace and stability, we have successfully overcome various challenges. Today, the world is witnessing the growth and prosperity of our country and showing its respect.

However, it is clear that there is no such thing as a perfect, flawless work. We learn from the past, follow our own path, and do not look down on anyone.

In recent years, very important steps have been taken to improve the well-being of the population. Large-scale reforms were launched in 2019. Kazakhstan is on the path to becoming a new type of country.
"Our Constitution was amended through a nationwide referendum. The powers of Parliament have expanded, and the responsibility of the Government has increased. The Constitutional Court has been established. The institution of the Ombudsman has acquired constitutional status. Since July of this year, the Cassation Court system has been operational, which has created conditions for strengthening justice in our society."
