"Other concrete measures have been taken to create a just Kazakhstan. Our citizens have begun to actively participate in making decisions of state importance."

Akims of villages, districts, and cities of regional significance were elected directly. All village akims and 25 percent of district akims were replaced. Thus, the system of government changed significantly.

The principle of "Strong President - Influential Parliament - Accountable Government" has been established in our country. Frankly, there has never been such a large-scale change in the system of power in this region.

As a country, we are successfully implementing political reform, which has resulted in a fundamental process of modernization in society. We have embarked on the implementation of our reforms at a very difficult and challenging time for all of humanity.

The pandemic, the sanctions confrontation of giant countries, the disruption of established trade routes, various conflicts and wars have caused enormous losses to the development of countries around the world. These circumstances have also affected Kazakhstan. However, we took the necessary measures in a timely manner. While maintaining the potential of our economy, we have developed it with renewed vigor.

Since 2019, our economy has grown by 16 percent, and this year it is expected to reach about 137 trillion tenge, or $291 billion, and may even exceed that. This shows that Kazakhstan is the largest economy in our region. Per capita GDP increased by 47 percent, reaching $14,400. This is one of the highest figures among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

"The volume of Kazakhstan's gold and foreign exchange reserves has reached $58 billion. In seven years, foreign trade turnover has increased by 83 percent and today amounts to $142 billion."
