Today, a high-level festive event "My Kyran elim - Kazakhstan" dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Republic Day and the Declaration of State Sovereignty was organized at the "Kyzgaldak" Palace in Shymkent. Representatives of the intelligentsia, veterans, maslikhat deputies, members of the public council and city residents attended the event.

This significant holiday was celebrated as a special day that glorifies the independence and unity of the country and instills a spirit of patriotism in the hearts of the people.

At the solemn ceremony, the mayor of Shymkent, Gabit Syzdykbekov, presented state and industry awards to a number of citizens who have made a special contribution to the development of the country, and sincerely congratulated all residents of the city on the National Holiday.

In his congratulatory speech, the mayor emphasized the historical significance of Republic Day and the role of labor and unity in the country's prosperity.

"I sincerely congratulate you all on our national holiday - Republic Day! This is a significant holiday, when the foundations of our state were laid and the future direction of independent Kazakhstan was determined. Today we are also celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty. Currently, our country is undergoing a period of political and economic renewal, initiated by our President Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev," said Gabit Syzdykbekov.

According to the akim, in recent years, the economy of Shymkent has gained significant momentum, and tangible results have been achieved in the production, construction, and social sectors.

"Our city has become a creative city with a modern infrastructure, a thriving economy, and an open path for young people. Thousands of workers, teachers, doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs are working tirelessly for the good of the country. Over the past three years, about 2 trillion tenge has been invested in the city, and more than 3 million square meters of housing have been commissioned. For the first time, the city's budget has reached 895 billion tenge, half of which was allocated to support the social sphere. Because the people should see the tangible results of the work being done," said the city mayor.

During the ceremony, the merits of more than 40 citizens who have been working hard for the good of the country were duly recognized. They were awarded the orders of "Parasat", "Kurmet", "Labor Glory" of the 3rd degree, as well as the medals "Eren Enbegi Ushin" and "Shapagat".

In addition, honors were also paid to citizens who were awarded the "Honored Worker of Kazakhstan", "Veteran of Public Service", the Presidential Certificate of Honor, and the "Birlik" gold medal of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

One of the awardees is Bukharbai Parmanov, who has worked in the civil service for over 40 years.

"Our career was dedicated to serving the country faithfully. Today, to be recognized for that work and awarded the Order of Honor is a great joy. Republic Day is the most important holiday that strengthens the country's independence and calls for prosperity and unity," the veteran said.

Gulmira Ospanova, an employee of the Sabyr Rakhimov Military College of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was also awarded the "For Meritorious Labor" medal.

"This award is an appreciation of the work not only of me, but of the entire team. Currently, a Veterans Commission has been established in Shymkent with the merger of ten public associations, and extensive work is being done to provide military-patriotic education to young people," he said.

At the end of the evening, the participants were presented with soulful songs and patriotic compositions, and the solemn celebration concluded with an upbeat mood that glorified the country's independence.
