A solemn event was organized in Shymkent on October 25, Republic Day, and the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty.
The National Flag Raising Ceremony was held at the Flagpole Square in the Shymsiti microdistrict of the city. This event highlighted the unity and independence of the country and gave it a special festive spirit.

The ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At that moment, the blue flag fluttered like an eagle on a high pedestal. This sight became a clear symbol of the country's independence and unity, as well as the status of the state.

The event was attended by the mayor of Shymkent, Gabit Syzdykbekov, representatives of the intelligentsia and elders, maslikhat deputies, civil servants, law enforcement officers, military personnel, youth, volunteers, and city residents.

During the event, Shymkent artists sang patriotic songs and glorified the status of state symbols. The participants were visibly proud and happy, and the national spirit was particularly high.

In addition, more than 300 young activists, holding the National Flag in their hands, marched through the central streets of the city. The procession began at the Baidibek Bi monument, continued along Baidibek Bi Avenue to Alatau Batyr Street, and concluded at the Flagpole Square.

Republic Day is a symbol of our people's eternal aspiration for freedom and independence. The Declaration of Independence, adopted in 1990, was the first step towards becoming a sovereign country and the beginning of national statehood. Today's generation feels the importance of that historical document and considers it their primary duty to honor the country's independence.

The festive event, with the raising of the flag, revived the spirit of the country and demonstrated the strength of national unity. Shymkent residents, united under the blue flag and glorifying freedom, dispersed in a festive mood.

It is worth noting that previously, a solemn gathering entitled "My Kyran elim - my Kazakhstan" was held at the "Kyzgaldak" Palace in Shymkent, dedicated to the Republic Day and the 35th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty.

At this event, the city's mayor, Gabit Syzdykbekov, presented state and industry awards to citizens who have made a special contribution to the development of the country and sincerely congratulated all city residents on the National Holiday.

"I sincerely congratulate you all on our national holiday - Republic Day! This is a significant holiday, when the foundations of our state were laid and the future direction of independent Kazakhstan was determined. Today we are also celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty. Currently, our country is undergoing a period of political and economic renewal, initiated by our President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev," the mayor said in his congratulatory message.

During the solemn meeting, the merits of more than 40 citizens who have been working hard for the good of the country were duly appreciated, and they were awarded the orders of "Parasat", "Kurmet", "Labor Glory" of the III degree, as well as the medals "For Meritorious Labor" and "Shapagat".
