In honor of Republic Day, the country's third largest city hosted large-scale cultural, sporting, and spiritual events for residents and visitors. The highlight of the celebration was the vibrant Kite Festival, which painted the Shymkent sky with every color of the rainbow.

The festival, organized by the city administration, aimed to develop a culture of family recreation, enhance the creative potential of young people, and popularize active outdoor recreation.

In the city's central parks, colorful kites of all shapes soared into the sky, creating an atmosphere of joy and inspiration. Children and parents happily flew their kites, enjoying the festive atmosphere and spending time together.

The program included kite-flying competitions, children's workshops, a bubble show, and animated performances. DJs and dancers enhanced the festive atmosphere, and the concert program drew a large crowd. Additionally, there were cycling competitions, street dance battles, and a ceremonial closing of the motorcycle season, which provided a vibrant highlight of the day.

Erlan Omarov, head of the Visit Shymkent tourist information center, noted the significance of the event:

"The festival's main idea is to give city residents a good mood and promote a culture of family fun. Today's celebration isn't just a kite parade, but a celebration of creativity and activity. Valuable prizes will be awarded to the best participants. This will encourage initiative in the coming year," he emphasized.

The festival became a long-awaited family celebration for residents and visitors to the metropolis. The laughter of children and colorful kites soaring in the sky filled Shymkent with an atmosphere of happiness and unity. The event strengthened the city's tourism profile and gave residents a boost of energy and inspiration.

On the same day, the House of Friendship hosted the national unity festival "Unity is Our Strength!", dedicated to Republic Day and the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Organized by the Georgian Ethnocultural Center, the event became a true celebration of friendship and harmony. Representatives of various ethnic groups presented their traditions, songs, and dances, giving the audience an unforgettable experience.

A sports competition was held in the square outside the Assembly building, where the strongest arm-wrestling competitors were determined. Participants demonstrated their fortitude and promoted a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the festive spirit of the day.

In addition, open-air concerts entitled "Shymkala Keshteri" were held in the city's parks and squares, during which the city's creative groups performed vibrant musical and dance numbers, continuing the festive atmosphere.

The diversity of events held simultaneously in various corners of the metropolis once again confirmed that Shymkent is a city of life, art, unity, and joy. Residents remembered Republic Day as a celebration of high spirits, friendship, and harmony, like a kite soaring in a cloudless sky.
