Located on the sacred land of Karmakshy district, the village of Torebai Bi celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. The festive event titled “Zhosalym Kok Tabannyng Sabatynda” opened with a touching theatrical performance depicting the history of the village’s founding. Esteemed guests took the stage to share their reflections on the past and the legacy of their homeland.

The celebration was beautifully decorated in a national style and featured various exhibitions highlighting the village’s rich history and cultural heritage.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the District Maslikhat Adil Koshalakov, veterans, local residents, and young people.

District Akim Zhandos Yerkinbek delivered the opening speech, expressing his gratitude to those who contributed to the development of the village. He presented Letters of Appreciation from the district akim and commemorative medals dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Torebai Bi.

Special recognition was given to the village’s founders — Ornykhan Kaziev, Pakhreddin Baishorayev, Kuanysh Yskakov, Malik Uzakov, and Akhmet Amantay — whose efforts laid the foundation for the community.

The festive concert began with a heartfelt performance by the “Shuak” grandmothers’ ensemble and continued with songs and dances performed by local artists and youth.

The celebration also included traditional Kazakh sports such as wrestling, arm wrestling, tug-of-war, and kettlebell lifting. Today, a horse race added a special thrill to the festivities.

With more than half a century of history, Torebai Bi has become a thriving and united community, known for its hard work, resilience, and strong spirit of togetherness.
