KazAID Strengthens Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan: New Partnerships and Regional Initiatives

Bishkek and Osh, Kyrgyz Republic, October 12–17, 2025 — representatives of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID), led by Director of the Department B. Zhakupov, and joined by K. Akhmetova, K. Sultan, and A. Gabdullina, held a series of meetings with government institutions, international organizations, and development partners in the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the visit, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in education, healthcare, agriculture, digitalization, and environmental sustainability. Key areas of interest included expanding experience exchange and introducing innovative educational approaches, developing joint programs in medical education, telemedicine, and digital health, as well as creating a unified digital platform for promoting organic agricultural products and implementing smart farming technologies.

Productive discussions were held with the International Public Foundation Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva, KOICA, SDC, JICA, GIZ, TİKA, IOM, and the Aga Khan Foundation, all of which expressed readiness to participate in joint regional initiatives with KazAID.

The visit took place in a constructive atmosphere and reaffirmed the mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation and advancing joint development projects across Central Asia.
