On October 29, the Day of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan is celebrated — a professional holiday for all those who create jobs, develop the economy and strengthen the welfare of the country.
It was on October 29, 2015 that the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted, which combined the legislative foundations of entrepreneurial, investment and competition policy, which laid the foundation for a unified state business support system.
To date, about 2.4 million business entities have been registered in Kazakhstan, employing more than 4 million people. The contribution of SMEs to the country's economy showed significant growth and amounted to 38.9%, which confirms the stable role of the private sector in the development of the economy.
Financial and non-financial support measures for entrepreneurs are being consistently implemented in the country.
Since the beginning of the year, over 2,300 projects have been subsidized for the amount of loans of 312 billion tenge, where the volume of subsidies amounted to 125.8 billion tenge.
More than 11,000 people have been trained in the basics of entrepreneurship, and about 109,000 business consultations have been provided.
Within the framework of the Guarantee Fund for SMEs, 1,794 business projects worth KZT 311.9 billion were supported, of which KZT 170.1 billion are guarantees issued.
The program of concessional lending "Orleu" has been launched at a rate of 12.6%, the total amount of which is 750 billion tenge, of which 300 billion are funds from the Damu fund, 450 billion are banking resources. Almost 1,200 projects worth 407.7 billion tenge have already been financed.
The integration of the Bgov information system with the eGov Business application has been completed, which was used by 76 thousand users, sending 3.6 million requests.
The development of small and medium—sized businesses is a strategic direction that determines the sustainability of the national economy, forms the middle class and creates the basis for a competitive and innovative Kazakhstan.
The business development policy is being implemented in line with the instructions of the Head of State aimed at forming a new economic model based on business initiative, responsibility and innovation.
The Government continues to systematically work to improve the business climate, reduce administrative barriers, introduce unified digital platforms and stimulate innovation.
The implementation of these tasks will strengthen the role of the private sector as a key driver of economic growth and ensure the sustainable development of the country.
