The celebration of Republic Day in Kurchatov was marked by a ceremony presenting the honorary badges "Kurchatov of the Year of the City of Kurchatov." This prestigious award was bestowed upon residents who have made a significant contribution to the city's development and earned the respect and gratitude of their fellow townspeople through their hard work and dedication. Aidyn Mukatayovich Nurlanov and Kulbarshin Karatayevna Mikhalchenko were awarded the honorary title—people whose example inspires. Aidyn Mukatayovich, who pioneered the creation of the KMEP State Enterprise and dedicated over three decades to this work, deservedly enjoys the respect and gratitude of the townspeople. Kulbarshin Karatayevna is known to every resident of Kurchatov—it is thanks to her dedicated work and the efforts of her team that the city remains clean and well-maintained in any weather. It is under her leadership that the Zhasyl El fighters gain their first work experience, acquiring responsibility and a love for their city.
