During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the development of the Kazakh-American Enhanced Strategic Partnership in the context of the upcoming C5+1 Summit in Washington, D.C.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for the invitation to participate in the C5+1 Summit in Washington, D.C.
The Head of State expressed confidence that the upcoming high-level meeting would be productive in defining the key priorities of long-term cooperation. Kazakhstan aims to give new momentum to trade, economic, and investment partnership with the United States.
President Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan supports the domestic and foreign policy pursued by the President of the United States. In this context, he highly praised President Trump’s contribution to strengthening peace and ensuring international security.
The President of Kazakhstan also emphasized the growing role of Central Asia in global processes. According to him, the countries of the region are demonstrating unprecedented unity and commitment to good-neighborly relations and shared progress.
In turn, Sergio Gor conveyed greetings from the U.S. President to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and reaffirmed the strategic importance of Central Asia in U.S. foreign policy. In his view, the upcoming C5+1 Summit will help elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level.
The parties also discussed the potential for mutually beneficial partnership in the areas of energy, critical minerals, digitalization, transport, and logistics.
In addition, they exchanged views on pressing issues of the regional and international agenda.
