Kazakhstan is a region of academic education: international cooperation at a new level

The International Forum of Strategic Partners "Kazakhstan - Academic Education Zone" was held in Astana with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The forum was aimed at strengthening global cooperation in the field of education and science and identifying new directions for the development of the higher education system.
During the event, it was noted that a strategic partnership council was established. The council is aimed at ensuring institutional interaction and jointly solving common problems. To date, three meetings of the council have been held.
Anatoly Torkunov, Rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MSIIR), said that Kazakhstan is a reliable partner and ally for Russia in the field of education. He noted the strategic importance of the opening of the MSIIR branch in Astana, noting that this initiative will play an important role in the formation of a unified educational space and the training of future leaders.
The rector of the North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev, Yerbol Isakayev, presented the experience of transforming academic cooperation into a scientific partnership through joint scientific research in the field of agriculture with the University of Arizona, on the model of a regional higher education institution. The results of the creation of the Center for Academic and Research Achievements were also presented.
In his closing remarks, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked the forum participants for their informative reports and constructive suggestions, noting that Kazakhstan will continue its policy of comprehensively developing its universities.
