Kazakhstan participates in the 41st COMCEC Ministerial Session in Istanbul

The 41st Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) is being held in Istanbul, Turkey, on November 3-4, 2025.
Background: COMCEC is the key multilateral platform for the Islamic world to discuss economic issues, develop joint policies, and implement projects aimed at economic rapprochement and development among OIC countries. COMCEC comprises 57 member countries.
This event is dedicated to the topic of "Developing/Improving Export Strategies in OIC Member Countries." The 41st session was opened by COMCEC Chairman, President of the Republic of Turkey R.T. Erdoğan.
Delegations led by the heads of the ministries of economy and trade discussed the COMCEC Report, which focused on the experiences of OIC countries in developing effective export strategies. They also exchanged views on the challenges facing OIC member countries in promoting exports to foreign markets. All participants emphasized the importance of increasing trade between OIC members in the current context of geopolitical and economic turbulence.
The Kazakh delegation at this event is led by Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanel Kushukova. On the sidelines of the Ministerial Session, Vice Minister Kushukova also held a bilateral meeting with Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Director General of the Statistical, Economic, and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC). The parties exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation between the Ministry and SESRIC, particularly training for ministry staff and domestic business representatives.
