Amman, 12 November 2025. A meeting was held in the Senate of the Parliament of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Jordan, H.E. Mr.Talgat Shaldanbay, and the Chairman of the Kazakhstan-Jordan Friendship Committee, H.E. Major General Mahmoud Al-Freihat (Retd).

The parties discussed prospects for strengthening interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing its role as an important instrument for advancing political and humanitarian cooperation.

Ambassador recalled his meeting on 1 October of this year with the President of the Jordanian Senate, H.E. Mr.Faisal Al-Fayez, noting that parliamentary diplomacy serves as an effective mechanism for implementing high-level agreements. Both sides expressed their readiness to further deepen contacts between the parliaments of Kazakhstan and Jordan.

The Ambassador also provided a brief overview of Kazakhstan’s socio-economic development, highlighting its steady positive dynamics, the growth of the industrial and agricultural sectors, and the ongoing diversification of the economy.

During the conversation, the parties discussed possible forms of enhancing parliamentary cooperation, including holding sessions of friendship groups between the two parliaments in an online format.

Chairman H.E. Major General Mahmoud Al-Freihat (Retd) expressed his support for regular interparliamentary contacts and emphasized the importance of further expanding dialogue between the legislative bodies of Kazakhstan and Jordan.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding, confirming the shared commitment to the consistent strengthening of bilateral relations.
