Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan assumes his duties

Geneva, 12 November 2025 – Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Erzhan Kazykhan presented his credentials to the Director-General of the UN Office at Geneva Tatyana Valovaya and officially assumed his duties.

During the conversation, Ambassador Kazykhan conveyed greetings from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and reaffirmed Kazakhstan's continued support for the work of the UNOG. Ms. Valovaya, in turn, welcomed Kazakhstan's active involvement within the UN and briefed the Permanent Representative on the Office's key activities.

The parties also discussed the implementation of joint projects and multilateral events, as well as prospects for further promotion of Kazakhstan's major international initiatives in Geneva. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the UN Regional Centre for the Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty and the Regional Ecological Summit scheduled to be held next year in Astana.
