The Kazakh Film Days will be held in Oslo this November.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Norway, in cooperation with the Altin Adam Society, is pleased to invite you to the Kazakh Film Days in Oslo, taking place at Cinemateket (Dronningens gate 16, 0105 Oslo, Tancred Hall).
Three acclaimed Kazakh films will be screened as part of the program:
🎬 “Myn Bala: Warriors of the Steppe” – 19 November, 17:30 (film starts at 17:45)
The first half of the 18th century. A bloody war unfolds between the Kazakh people and the Dzungars. Young warriors, known as “Myn Bala” (A Thousand Boys), led by the brave Sartai, rise to defend their homeland.
🎬 “The Tale of a Mother” – 25 November, 18:15 (film starts at 18:30)
Set during World War II, this heartfelt story follows an illiterate mother who learns to read and write to follow news from the front. Delivering letters to others, she becomes a bearer of both hope and sorrow, sharing in the grief of countless mothers.
🎬 “Districts” – 30 November, 15:45 (film starts at 16:00)
A coming-of-age drama set in 1980s Almaty, Districts portrays a group of young men navigating friendship, rivalry, and honor. Their struggles reflect a generation’s search for identity in a rapidly changing Kazakhstan.
