The agenda of the meeting included issues of cooperation between the two countries in the trade and economy, transport and transit, water and energy, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his hospitality and noted that the main goal of his visit is to strengthen the friendship between the two peoples, strengthen good-neighborly relations, as well as develop mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

– Dear Shavkat Miromonovich, thanks to your hard work, many positive changes are taking place in your country. Important initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the people have been taken. Uzbekistan is a kindred, brotherly country, a good neighbor and a reliable partner for us. The friendship between the two countries is deep-rooted, and the spiritual values of our peoples are common. Kazakh-Uzbek relations are developing rapidly in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance, - said the Head of State.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that in a period of turbulent international relations, it is necessary to increase the pace of development of multilateral integration.
