First of all, special attention should be paid to the trade and economic sphere. To develop trade, it is necessary to search for new opportunities for growth, expand the range of goods, and take measures to stimulate non-primary exports. In this regard, it is important to qualitatively implement the Program for Increasing Mutual Trade Turnover. We expect concrete results from the work of the Council of Regional Heads, which is being established today, as well as the Business Council and other bilateral mechanisms, such as the UzKazTrade joint trading company, - said the President of Kazakhstan.

According to the Head of State, there is great potential for cooperation in the agricultural sector.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed, rather than simple trade, to form a full-fledged production chain for processing meat, wheat, and oilseeds, and to jointly develop livestock farming and organic farming.

In addition, the President has high hopes for industrial cooperation.

– Currently, we have 78 joint projects worth a total of more than one and a half billion dollars ($1.7 billion). It is planned to create more than 15 thousand jobs within their framework. If these projects are fully implemented, our economic and investment integration will significantly strengthen. Today we are launching one of them. We intend to further stimulate Kazakhstan's investments in Uzbekistan. In this regard, we expect the usual support from our Uzbek friends. The "Central Asia" International Industrial Cooperation Center, which is currently under construction, will play an important role in further increasing our industrial capacity, - said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
