At the Main Command of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, diagnostic testing of servicemen using the Qaztest system was organized as part of the implementation of the Language Policy Concept for 2023–2029.
The main purpose of the testing is to determine the level of proficiency in the state language among the personnel and to strengthen systematic efforts aimed at developing language skills. This, in turn, helps improve the quality of professional communication and expands the use of the state language in official documentation and daily service activities.
The testing, held in the format of an informational session, covered about fifty officers and contract servicemen of the Main Command.
Language proficiency was assessed in three areas: listening, vocabulary and grammar, and reading. The test included 150 tasks, the results of which will help determine each participant’s level of state language proficiency.
For reference, Qaztest is a national system for assessing proficiency in the state language. Its results are widely used in government bodies and military structures for professional development and enhancing language training.
It should be noted that the implementation of language policy in the National Guard holds a special place in the system of personnel development and training.
