Today, a regular meeting of the Commission on Juvenile Affairs and the Protection of Minors’ Rights was held in the conference hall of the district akimat under the chairmanship of the Deputy Akim of the district, Dias Moldabayev.

The meeting was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, the Baikonur City Prosecutor’s Office, heads of departments, akims of rural districts, chairpersons of veterans’ and women’s councils, as well as heads of the district education department and educational institutions.

Four issues were discussed on the agenda. On the first issue, Parida Sarybayeva, Deputy Chief Physician of the District Hospital for Mother and Child Health, delivered a comprehensive report on the prevention of alcohol, drug, and substance abuse among minors. The head of the district education department, Berik Zhanibekov, also highlighted the social situation of orphans and children deprived of parental care.

Protecting children from harmful information in the online space is one of today’s pressing topics. In this regard, Dosbol Duysenbekov, a chief specialist of the District Department of Public Development, presented an analysis and reported on the awareness-raising activities and measures aimed at preventing internet fraud.

During the meeting, Dias Moldabayev assigned specific tasks to the responsible institutions based on the proposals and issues raised. The implementation of the tasks will be monitored, and appropriate deadlines have been set.
