The labor market in Shymkent is booming. A large-scale job fair, titled "Labor is the Basis of Life," was held today at the city exhibition center. Thousands of residents attended the event, learning about employment opportunities presented by the region's large enterprises and small businesses.
Over 100 employers participated in the fair, offering approximately 2,000 vacancies in manufacturing, services, education, healthcare, construction, and other sectors. Visitors were provided with detailed information on candidate requirements, salary levels, benefits packages, and career advancement opportunities.
Shymkent Mayor Gabit Syzdykbekov visited the fair, spoke with employers, and reviewed the job openings. He emphasized the importance of adhering to occupational safety and health regulations, protecting workers' rights, and ensuring timely payment of wages and social benefits. He stated that such fairs are an important tool for the regional economy, as they help reduce unemployment and help residents adapt to the demands of the labor market.
A key part of the event was the Labor Mobility Center's consultation platform. The Center's specialists presented over 1,500 job openings from 227 organizations and provided consultations on career guidance, labor market trends, and in-demand professions.
Additionally, job seekers gained practical skills in using the Enbek.kz online job exchange. Experts demonstrated how to properly create an online resume, establish direct contact with employers, and effectively filter open positions.
Large companies playing a vital role in the economy of Shymkent and the region were highly active at the fair. Nazar Textile, Bal Textile, Altyn-Dan, Marvik Partners, Wan Sheng Ceramic, Karlskrona, Altyn Land, Firkanth, OKS Group, Rixos Khadisha Shymkent, and other leading companies and organizations offered job openings to residents. Some applicants were interviewed on-site and placed in the initial selection process.
The event also featured products from entrepreneurs who started their own businesses thanks to government grants. This section generated great interest among attendees. These new entrepreneurs shared their experiences, demonstrated the results of government support, and inspired those planning to start their own businesses.
The "Labor is the Basis of Life" fair not only showcased Shymkent's labor market opportunities but also strengthened interactions between employers and job seekers. According to the organizers, similar events will continue to be held, becoming an effective tool for promoting employment in the region.
