Kazakhstan has entered the Top 100 supercomputers in the world.
The national supercomputer "Alem.Cloud" has taken 86th place in the international ranking of the most powerful computing systems in the world - TOP500. The ranking includes only those clusters that undergo independent testing according to the HPL (High-Performance Linpack) standard, a global benchmark of computing power.
The national supercomputer cluster "Alem.Cloud" was created on behalf of the Head of State on the basis of the infrastructure of NIT JSC of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development. The supercomputer is designed for implementing projects in the field of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and big data analysis. The cluster architecture is based on 64 HPE Cray servers, which are combined into a single high-density GPU complex. Each computing node is equipped with modern NVIDIA H200 accelerators.
Earlier, NIT's technical specialists, together with international partners, conducted comprehensive testing using the following methodologies
