Kazakhstan and Greece aligned their positions on the implementation of high-level agreements

Athens, 19 November 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece Timur Sultangozhin held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Alexandra Papadopoulou. The discussion covered a broad spectrum of issues on the bilateral agenda.
Reaffirming their mutual commitment to the further comprehensive development of Kazakhstan-Greece cooperation, the parties focused on the state and prospects of interaction in the context of implementing the agreements reached between the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the margins of the UN Climate Change Conference COP-29 in Baku in November 2024. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the consistent implementation of high-level understandings in the political, trade, economic and investment fields.
The meeting also reviewed issues related to strengthening the bilateral legal framework and enhancing the work of existing intergovernmental and interministerial mechanisms. The parties discussed plans for upcoming reciprocal visits at the top and high levels, which are expected to give additional impetus to political dialogue and practical cooperation between Kazakhstan and Greece.
An exchange of views took place on the expansion of trade and economic cooperation, including the development of direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries and the promotion of joint investment projects. The discussion also touched on prospects for deepening cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as expanding educational and tourism exchanges, which will contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Greece.
