A large-scale cleanup day was organized in the Karatau district of Shymkent on October 16, 2025, as part of the national environmental campaign "Clean Kazakhstan." The event was attended not only by district administration and utility service employees, but also by local residents, youth organizations, schoolchildren, and students. During the event, cleanup work was carried out in the Shym-Saya Gorge. 12 pieces of specialized equipment and 40 workers were deployed.
