On October 16, 2025, as part of the national environmental campaign "Clean Kazakhstan," large-scale cleanup and landscaping efforts were carried out in all districts of Shymkent. The campaign aims to raise environmental awareness among the population, foster a sense of responsibility among each resident for the cleanliness of their neighborhood, street, and yard, and improve the sanitary conditions of the city as a whole. A significant cleanup effort was also organized in the Kyzylzhar microdistrict of the Abay district.

The event was attended by the district veterans' council, active youth groups, neighborhood residents, employees of the district utility company, and representatives of the city branch of the AMANAT party. In total, over 100 people participated in the event, jointly cleaning up Sarykul Street. The work included mowing the grass, removing inert materials, collecting trash, and cleaning public spaces.

District utility company staff carried out the sanitation and cleaning work professionally. Three pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to ensure efficient operation, significantly speeding up the cleanup process and making it more effective. All work was carried out systematically, adhering to safety regulations and instructions provided by the organizers.

During the event, participants not only cleaned up trash but also carried out landscaping. They cleared sidewalks, roads, parks, and playgrounds of trash, dry branches, and old leaves. This comprehensive approach created comfortable conditions for residents of the neighborhood and improved the visual appeal of the area.

During the event, the head of the microdistrict Kyzylzhar Batyrәli Ibragimov noted:
"Daily cleanliness demonstrates every citizen's responsibility to their homeland and city. We encourage residents, especially young people, to maintain environmental awareness, actively participate in Clean Kazakhstan campaigns, and take initiatives to maintain order and cleanliness."

Particular attention was paid to the participation of youth and schoolchildren during the cleanup day. Children and teenagers worked in groups, helping with litter pickup, maintaining green spaces, and participating in landscaping. They also distributed informational leaflets and educated residents about the importance of waste separation, recycling, and environmental conservation. This process fostered a sense of responsibility in the younger generation and instilled environmental stewardship from an early age.

The campaign also included educational and awareness-raising elements. Information stands were set up with recommendations on waste sorting, recycling, preserving green spaces, and caring for nature. Quizzes, environmental games, and competitions were held for children and teenagers, helping to reinforce their knowledge of environmental protection and spurring interest in environmental topics.

The cleanup demonstrated the importance of collaboration between residents, the administration, and utility services. The event not only cleaned up trash but also fostered cooperation between various community groups, increased environmental awareness, and strengthened a sense of community responsibility. These joint efforts made Sarykul Street clean, well-maintained, and comfortable for walks, recreation, and living for residents of the neighborhood.

The results of the campaign are noticeable not only in the physical condition of the area but also in the behavior of residents. After the cleanup, residents became more attentive to cleanliness, began regularly cleaning their yards and surrounding areas, caring for green spaces, and participating in future environmental events. Thus, the campaign fosters long-term habits of maintaining cleanliness and environmental awareness.

At the end of the cleanup, the district administration thanked all participants for their efforts and contributions to the improvement of the area. The most active volunteer groups, schools, and organizations that made significant contributions to the street cleanup and greening were recognized. A report on the results of the event was also prepared and new sites for similar events in the future were identified.

The "Clean Kazakhstan" program is aimed not only at waste collection and landscaping, but also at fostering environmental awareness among the population. It instills in citizens a sense of responsibility for their city, encourages initiatives to maintain cleanliness and order, and demonstrates that everyone can contribute to a better environment.

The cleanup event in the Kyzylzhar microdistrict demonstrated that the joint efforts of residents and the administration can significantly improve the environmental situation and create a comfortable living environment. The participation of schoolchildren, students, young adults, and adults in the cleanup day demonstrates that caring for nature and cleanliness begins with each person.

Regularly holding such cleanup days helps instill in residents the habit of maintaining cleanliness, conserving natural resources, caring for green spaces, and passing these habits on to future generations. The "Clean Kazakhstan" program is becoming more than just a one-time event; it's an important part of fostering environmental awareness and a culture of cleanliness that impacts residents' daily lives and strengthens their responsibility for the environment.

Thus, the cleanup day in the Kyzylzhar microdistrict, part of the Clean Kazakhstan program, became a shining example of how the joint efforts of residents, the administration, and public organizations can improve the district's environmental status, raise the population's level of environmental awareness, and strengthen the sense of responsibility for cleanliness and order in the city.

The event demonstrated that a clean, well-maintained, and beautiful city is only possible with the combined efforts of all residents. Keeping streets and public spaces clean is not only about preserving the city's appearance but also about respect for nature and future generations. The "Clean Kazakhstan" campaign in Kyzylzhar became an example of unity, responsibility, and care for our common home—the city of Shymkent.
