Chisinau, November 18, 2025 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan organized a screening of the historical drama “Dawn of the Great Steppe” by Kazakh film director Akan Sataev for the audience of the Republic of Moldova. This event was held within the framework of celebration of the Republic Day and the 35th Anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The movie depicts a period of state development under Kasym khan, who ensured the protection of the country’s independence from external threats.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Mr. Almat Aidarbekov and the main actor of the movie Mr. Berik Aitzhanov delivered welcoming remarks.

In his speech, Ambassador Aidarbekov noted that the purpose of the event is to strengthen cultural diplomacy between Kazakhstan and Moldova, enhance mutual understanding, promote Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage.

The main actor of the movie, Mr. Berik Aitzhanov, expressed gratitude to the Embassy and the guests for the opportunity to present the movie to Moldovan audience, emphasizing that he was very pleased to participate in the premiere in Chisinau. He also thanked the Moldovan people for their interest in the history of the Great Steppe.

The event was attended by representatives of government institutions, the diplomatic corps, cultural organizations, the cinematography sector of Moldova, as well as members of the Kazakh diaspora.

The guests participated in a small reception and noted the positive impression they received from watching the movie.
