A Kazakhstan trade and economic mission is underway in Minsk. The main topic was the launch of work on the establishment of the Kazakhstan Trade House. This facility will become a permanent presence for Kazakh goods on the Belarusian market. Work is being carried out in stages. The goal of the project is to strengthen business ties and expand cooperation between companies from the two countries. QazTrade, affiliated with the Ministry of Technical Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is coordinating all stages.

In the first stage, a list of Kazakh products and key channels for their distribution to local retailers were identified. Subsequent plans include expanding the product range, developing partnership programs, and preparing for the opening of an offline site. Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev emphasized that the launch of this initiative allows for the systematic promotion of Kazakh goods in Belarus:

During a working visit to Minsk, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev was received by Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Turchin. The main outcome of the negotiations was an agreement to establish a Kazakhstan Trade House in the Republic of Belarus, based on QazTrade, which will serve as a permanent platform for the promotion of domestic goods. The parties also discussed the dynamics of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, noting the steady growth of trade turnover and the potential for further expansion.

"We see real potential for growth in mutual trade. Kazakh companies are ready to develop new niches, and the mechanism being developed will allow us to do this more effectively," noted Arman Shakkaliyev.

In the first eight months of 2025, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Belarus reached $739.5 million, an increase of 19.9% compared to the previous year. Kazakhstan's exports to Belarus increased to $183.2 million (+55.2%), while Belarusian imports to Kazakhstan amounted to $556.3 million (+11.6%).

The parties paid special attention to industrial cooperation, which remains a key area of interaction. Currently, 12 joint projects are being implemented, worth a total of $204 million, creating approximately 1,700 jobs. Kazakh-Belarusian cooperation enterprises assemble tractors, grain and forage harvesters, engines, fire-fighting and municipal equipment, elevators, and quarry and mining equipment. Work continues to increase production localization and expand equipment production.

"Our relationship with the Republic of Kazakhstan has a special status. We highly value the relationship we have developed thanks to the leaders of our two countries. All issues are under the close supervision of the government," said Alexander Turchin.

The mission also included a business forum and bilateral talks, where the companies discussed new areas of cooperation. QazTrade and the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange agreed to collaborate in exchange trading, and a memorandum on the exchange of analytics and product promotion was signed with the National Marketing Center. These agreements will facilitate market access for producers and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
