The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Czech Republic with the support of the Kazakhfilm Studio named after Sh. Aimanov and its partners.

The programme opened with screenings of “Paralympian” by director Aldiyar Bairakimov and “Bauyryna Salu” by director Askhat Kuchincherekov. On the following day, audiences were presented with the Kazakh cinema classic “My Name is Kozha” by Abdulla Karsakbaev, based on the novel by Berdibek Sokpakbaev, as well as the historical drama “Zhauzhürek Myng Bala” directed by Akan Satayev.

The event brought together representatives of Czech state and public institutions, members of the diplomatic corps, business circles, the film industry, journalists, the Kazakh diaspora, as well as residents and guests of Prague.

The participation of Kazakh directors and film professionals added further depth to the programme, allowing the audience to engage directly with the creative vision of the authors. Viewers had the opportunity to address questions to Aldiyar Bairakimov, director of “Paralympian,” and to Aidos Auesbayev, who played the role of the father in “Bauyryna Salu,” both of whom shared insights into the filmmaking process.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic Bakyt Dyussenbayev highlighted the importance of such events in strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic. He emphasized that Kazakh cinema is developing dynamically, gaining recognition at international festivals, and attracting growing interest abroad. According to the Ambassador, the Days of Kazakh Cinema contribute to the expansion of humanitarian contacts, deepen mutual understanding, and stimulate interest in contemporary Kazakh art.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan expressed its gratitude to partners, directors, and guests for their contribution to the successful organization of the screenings and for supporting cultural dialogue between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic.
