On November 1, 2025, at the initiative of the district akim's office, a large-scale event—a district-wide cleanup day—was organized. The main goal of the event was to ensure cleanliness and order on the streets and in courtyards, to raise environmental awareness among the population, and to foster active civic engagement in local community improvement. Employees of the district akim's office, employees of KMM "Eңbekshі" and TOO "Inteko Group," as well as active youth and volunteers, participated in the cleanup.
Work began in the morning at 9:00 AM and continued until the end of the day. Participants were assigned to designated areas, each with a dedicated team. This allowed for the process to be organized as efficiently as possible and cover as much of the district as possible.
During the cleanup, various sanitation and landscaping activities were carried out. Grass and weeds were mowed in the courtyards of apartment buildings and along the streets. Particular attention was paid to park areas, adjacent areas, and green spaces. Dead and hazardous branches were trimmed from trees, which, in addition to aesthetics, is also important for pedestrian safety.
Fallen leaves, household trash, and other waste were collected in special bags and promptly removed using municipal vehicles. Lawns were tidied, flower beds were cleared, and areas where residents most often gather and relax were tidied. In some areas, drainage channels and gutters were cleared of blockages to avoid problems during the autumn rains.
Particular attention was paid to infrastructure elements that posed a traffic hazard or inconvenience. For example, concrete structures and rocks that were in the path of vehicles and pedestrians were carefully separated and removed to designated locations. This significantly improved traffic safety and improved commuting conditions for residents.
The bus stops and surrounding areas were thoroughly cleaned using specialized equipment. Old advertisements and leaflets were removed from the surfaces of the stops and nearby walls, significantly improving the appearance of public spaces. Pedestrian walkways, stairways, and areas near public facilities such as schools, kindergartens, and medical facilities were also cleaned.
The active participation of young people became a key component of the event. Volunteers enthusiastically joined in, setting an example of caring for the environment. Many noted that such events help them feel part of a common good cause that produces tangible results. Young people's involvement in environmental issues contributes to the development of a conscious and responsible future generation.
The district akim's office staff also worked alongside residents, emphasizing the need to regularly maintain cleanliness around us. During the cleanup day, educational talks were held on the importance of observing sanitary standards and maintaining order in public spaces and surrounding areas. Residents were reminded that cleanliness is not a one-time action, but an ongoing responsibility for everyone.
Workers from KMM "Eңbekshі" and TOO "Inteko Group" provided equipment and tools for the cleanup operations. Thanks to their efforts, garbage and plant waste were removed promptly, and the work was carried out efficiently and smoothly. Utility services also ensured that waste was sorted and disposed of in accordance with sanitary requirements.
Ordinary residents of the area also contributed. Many came out to help clean their courtyards and driveways. Some brought their children along, explaining the importance of caring for the environment. Residents emphasized that a clean neighborhood means comfort, health, and a pleasant living environment for all generations.
Following the cleanup, district administration expressed gratitude to all participants and noted that similar events would be held in the future. The event demonstrated that the combined efforts of government, utilities, and the public yield quick and positive results. The district was noticeably cleaner, and residents were boosted in spirits and felt confident that their contribution matters.
The organizers urged residents to not limit themselves to cleanup days but to maintain the area around their homes and workplaces every day. Caring for your neighborhood is an investment in our shared future, the health and well-being of each of us.
The November 1st cleanup is more than just a neighborhood cleanup; it's an important social initiative aimed at strengthening community cohesion, developing environmental awareness, and creating a clean and comfortable urban environment. Cleanliness is a symbol of culture, tidiness, and respect for one another. And only together can we make our neighborhood a model of well-being and order!
