The environmental event "Clean Thursday" aimed at protecting the environment continues in Shymkent. This time, the event was held on November 6 in the courtyards and pedestrian areas of multi-storey residential buildings in the Turan district. More than 30 residents, local organizations, and active youth participated in this event, contributing to the beautification of our city.

The main goal of the campaign is to increase the environmental culture of residents, encourage them to keep public places clean, and draw public attention to environmental protection issues. During the event, participants not only collected garbage, but also carried out maintenance work on green spaces.

According to the organizers, maintaining cleanliness is the duty of every citizen, not just the city administration. Therefore, such environmental initiatives help strengthen a sense of responsibility in society.

Since the beginning of the year , more than 45 environmental campaigns have been held in Shymkent. About four thousand residents participated in these events. Concrete work has been carried out in many areas to improve the cleanliness of city streets, bus stops, yards, and children's playgrounds.

According to ecologists, the increase in household waste in the metropolis is now becoming an urgent problem. As the population grows due to the development of the city, the burden on public utilities also increases. Therefore, the organization of eco-Saturdays and eco-Thursdays is an important step towards improving the environmental situation.

One of the residents who participated in the action, Alikhan, said he was impressed by the activity of the young volunteers:

"The city is our common home. If everyone keeps their yard clean, the whole of Shymkent will be clean. Such good events unite people."

Children were also not left out of the action, helping adults collect garbage and clean up the yard. It is clear that this is an educational activity aimed at instilling in them respect for nature.

The Shymkent branch of the AMANAT party also continues to support environmental initiatives. According to party representatives, cleanliness should not be limited to the external environment, but should be connected with spiritual purity within a person.

Deputy Executive Secretary of the party branch, Yerbol Baikonysov, noted:

"Our main task is not only to ensure cleanliness, but also to encourage residents and guests of the city to maintain it. Along with ecological cleanliness, spiritual and personal cleanliness is also important. This should be one of the priorities of every person."

According to him, Shymkent can fully meet the status of a "clean metropolis" only if city residents make cleanliness a daily lifestyle.

Environmentalists are calling on residents to strengthen the culture of cleanliness not only during the campaign, but also in everyday life. For example:

  • Dispose of waste in designated areas

  • Sorting plastic and paper

  • Volunteering to help improve the yard

  • Educating children about nature conservation

By following these simple rules, you can significantly improve the ecology of the city.

Thanks to the work carried out in recent months, in a number of areas:

garbage containers have been updated
Pedestrian paths cleared
tree seedlings were planted
Children's playgrounds have been arranged

These are changes that directly affect the quality of life of city residents.

Residents say that a clean yard allows children to play safely, people to walk, and lead a healthy lifestyle.

According to the organizers' plan, the "Clean Thursday" campaign will continue on a regular basis. Every week, additional eco-weekends and sanitary cleaning will be held in different districts of Shymkent.

In the future, it is also planned to hold seminars on environmental culture, eco-lessons for schoolchildren, and expand the volunteer movement.

The Shymkent akimat and environmental organizations invite residents to be active and participate in upcoming events:

"The cleanliness of the city is in everyone's hands!"

The "Clean Thursday" environmental campaign in Shymkent unites city residents in a common goal - to protect their native land. The enthusiasm and activity of residents directly contribute to the improvement of the city's appearance.

Such initiatives not only protect the environment, but also strengthen unity, responsibility, and patriotism in society. Every step towards cleanliness is an important step towards leaving a bright future for the younger generation.
