On November 20, 2025, the State Revenue Department for the East Kazakhstan Region held a solemn ceremony honoring the laureates of the titles “Best Taxpayer” and “Best Participant in Foreign Economic Activity” based on the results of 2024 at the regional level.

In his welcoming speech, the Head of the Department, Sayat Saylaubekovich Bimagambetov, emphasized that the “Best Taxpayer” and “Best Participant in Foreign Economic Activity (FEA)” campaigns are held annually by the state revenue authorities to strengthen partnership relations, increase transparency, and enhance taxpayer trust in the state revenue bodies.

Today, taxpayers, entrepreneurs, and participants in foreign economic activity make a significant contribution to the economic development not only of the region but also of the entire country, thereby promoting the well-being of citizens.

Based on the results of the campaign and in accordance with the criteria approved by the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the specifics of activities and the selected taxation regime, 12 laureates from the East Kazakhstan Region were awarded the titles “Best Taxpayer” and “Best FEA Participant” for their strong tax discipline and responsible fulfillment of tax obligations.

After the awarding ceremony, business representatives discussed updates to the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will come into force in 2026. The Head of the Department noted that the new Tax Code is aimed at simplifying tax administration, increasing transparency of procedures, and stimulating entrepreneurial activity, especially for small and medium-sized businesses. The main goal of the update is to make the tax system more predictable, fair, and oriented toward economic growth.
