On November 20, 2025, N. Serikbayeva, archivist of the Rudnу City State Archive, gave a lecture for students of the Rudnу Mining and Technological College, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Rudnу Geological Exploration Expedition, an organization of geological explorers, thanks to whose research work the history of Rudny city began. Serikbayeva N. She told the students about the profession of geologists, about the socio-economic importance of their work for the state, as well as about the history of the discovery of the Sarbai iron ore deposit by explorers and the large-scale exploration work of the Rudnу Geological exploration expedition at the Sarbai and Sokolov iron ore deposits. She introduced the participants to the biographies of mining prospectors Pershin Yu.A., Kozhamkulov D.T. and Atauov S., whose documents are in state custody in the Rudnу City Archive. During the lecture, the students were presented with a photographic and documentary exhibition "People of a special breed", prepared according to the documents of the geological explorers from the Collection of documents of personal origin of the honored citizens of the city of Rudny. The purpose of the event is to familiarize students with the history of their native land, to preserve the continuity of generations using the example of the elder's labor path.
