Stockholm, November 23, 2025 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Sweden in cooperation with the Kazakh association “Dostar” held a reception at the Medborgarskolan Stockholmsregionen Association building to celebrate the Republic Day. Among the guests were representatives of academic and business circles, as well as Kazakhstani citizens living in Sweden.

In his welcoming speech, Olzhas Suleimenov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Sweden, noted that Republic Day is a symbol of Kazakhstan's independence, unity and desire for development and openness to the world. This holiday reminds us that every Kazakhstani contributes to promoting the image of their country, wherever they may be.

Representatives of the diaspora performed a concert programme at the event. National songs were performed, as well as works by N. Tlendiev, Kurmangazy and K. Kumisbekov. A young dance group organised by A. Abdirahman, a member of the Association, also performed the dance ‘Qamazhai’.

The audience warmly welcomed the performances of the artists, noting the high level of execution.
