The Department of State Revenue for the city of Almaty, together with the Almaty Police Department and the Regional Chamber of Private Bailiffs, is conducting an operational and preventive event "Boryshker" in order to collect tax arrears for motor vehicles.

Debtors' cars, which have a resolution from private bailiffs, are detected using Sergek cameras and placed in a parking lot until the debt is fully paid off.

To date, the vehicle tax arrears amount to 4.5 billion tenge. The main part of the debt falls on cars with a large engine capacity of over 4000 cc.

The Department of Internal Affairs of Almaty urges car owners to pay off their tax debts in the near future, in order to avoid being placed in impoundments and the cost of paying for bailiffs.
