On 24 November 2025, Bucharest hosted the presentation of the book “From the Kazakh Steppe Straight to Facebook” by Marina Almasan, a prominent journalist of the Romanian TV channel TVR. The event was held within the framework of Kazakhstan’s international image campaign “Kazakhstan: Born Bold”, and brought together representatives of romanian media, cultural and academic circles, public organizations, and the diplomatic community.

In her book, Ms. Almasan shares her personal reflections on Kazakhstan—its rich history, vibrant culture, enduring traditions, and the warmth of its people. She also recounts her unique experiences of discovering the country through travel and social media, highlighting the harmonious blend of Kazakhstan’s ancient heritage and its dynamic modern development. The book is based on materials gathered during her recent trip to Kazakhstan, which provided deep insight into the country’s culture and society.

Earlier, in August 2025, with the support of Rompetrol company and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Romania, Ms. Almasan traveled to Kazakhstan as part of a Romanian tourist group. This journey was organized by Corina Martin, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Constanta, in cooperation with her travel agency Mistral Tour, providing the author with an opportunity to explore Kazakhstan firsthand and engage directly with its people and culture.

During the presentation, Ambassador Yerlik Ali expressed his gratitude to Ms. Almasan for her contribution to strengthening the ties between Kazakhstan and Romania. He emphasized that her book not only showcases Kazakhstan’s tourism potential but also serves as a bridge for intercultural dialogue, bringing the two nations closer together.

The event drew significant attention from the media, cultural figures, and members of the diplomatic community. Attendees praised the book for its vivid portrayal of Kazakhstan’s cultural richness, natural beauty, and contemporary achievements.

The presentation concluded with a discussion on future opportunities to further develop cultural and tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and Romania, reinforcing the ongoing partnership and mutual understanding between the two countries.
