During the events on the territory of the trade markets of the city of Temirtau, persons who sold illegal tobacco products were identified. According to the results of inspections, about 9,000 packs of tobacco products worth more than 3 million tenge were seized from illicit trafficking.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated on all the facts, and the materials have been sent to the court for further consideration. The preliminary amount of fines may amount to about 5 million tenge, followed by confiscation of the seized products.

The Department of State Revenue for the Karaganda region will continue to work to curb the illegal trafficking of excisable goods and recalls the need to comply with the requirements of current legislation.
