Today, the Shymkent city administration and businesses signed memoranda of cooperation. The agreements are aimed at stabilizing prices for socially important food products and curbing inflation.
Major retail chains such as Gramad and F-Mart, the city's leading food markets, and producers of essential goods such as flour, meat, milk, eggs, and baked goods have joined the initiative. Wholesale suppliers have also joined.
According to the city's First Deputy Akim, Aidyn Karimov, the signing of the Memorandums is not a one-time measure, but a continuation of the systematic work being carried out by the Akimat in conjunction with the business community.
"Business demonstrates a high degree of social responsibility, and today we once again confirmed our commitment to working together. Our shared goal is to ensure stable prices, market transparency, and the availability of essential products for city residents. Such agreements produce real results and allow us to respond promptly to any fluctuations in the food market," said A. Karimov.
It's worth noting that over 100 businesses signed the Memoranda. The parties agreed to work to reduce intermediaries, prevent unjustified price increases, and jointly promote initiatives that help reduce inflation.
This step is part of a systematic effort to ensure food security and strengthen the social well-being of Shymkent residents.
It should be emphasized that the city administration monitors prices daily and, together with entrepreneurs, keeps the situation under constant control.
