To promote the development of livestock farming in the district, construction work is underway in the Karmakshy rural district on the “Kozhatay” water-retaining dam.

District akim Zhandos Erkinbek personally inspected the progress of the construction, met with residents engaged in livestock farming, and listened to their proposals and opinions.

In addition, the issue of constructing the “Kozhatay” water-regulating dam was reviewed in detail, and specific instructions were given to the responsible specialists.

Restoring the “Kozhatay” water-retaining dam on the Karozyek channel will make it possible to fill the nearby lakes — Dosymkol, Kyzylkol, Zhayynkol, Taskyn, Ketebay-Masak, Karakol-1, Karakol-2, and others — with water, thereby fostering the development of fisheries and creating a favorable ecological environment.

In this area, the main directions of livestock development can be effectively focused on producing meat, shubat, and kymyz.
