A thematic meeting «Let's Make the World a Kinder Place» was held at the East Kazakhstan Region Museum-Reserve as part of the national campaign «16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence» for soldiers and officers of Military Unit 6699 of the Shygys Regional Command of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan and museum staff. Specialists from the «Ulba» Crisis Center, the Zhanuya Family Support Center, the Women's Protection from Violence Department of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Regional Police Department, the «Ana Uyi» Public Foundation, and representatives of the Mothers' Council at the Regional Friendship House – a center for public harmony  were invited to the event. Participants discussed the prevention of domestic violence, the protection of motherhood and childhood, and strengthening the role of the family in society, thematic videos were shown. The guests shared their views on solutions to this pressing issue.
