With the support of the akim of the Abai region, the library fund of the correctional institution was replenished.

             In the institution of mixed security located in the Abai region, the library's collection was replenished with 536 books donated by the scientific universal library named after Abai in Semey.

            The transfer of literature took place with the support of Akim of the region Abai Berik Uali and was timed to coincide with the 180th anniversary of the birth of Abai Kunanbayev.

           Among the transferred editions are a series of books "The Way of Abai", "Abai Alemi", "Abaydyn akyn uldary", as well as collections of poems and words of edification of the great thinker. The library fund of the institution already has over 4 thousand books of various genres: fiction, detective stories, popular science and fantasy works.       

            –Books in Kazakh about Abai have become a valuable and significant gift for us," said Aydin Kalelov, Deputy head of the institution. 

              Reading has a positive effect on memory and thinking, helps to distract from heavy thoughts and find inner peace.
