The National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched its autumn selection campaign for compulsory service in one of its most prestigious units — the Honor Guard Company. Every year, thousands of young men aspire to join the elite of the law-enforcement troops, but only a select few manage to pass the rigorous competition. One of them is conscript soldier Daniyar Bekzhanov, whose story now inspires future recruits.
During the current draft period, more than 7,000 young citizens are expected to be called into service in the National Guard. However, only those who meet the strict requirements of the Honor Guard Company will have the chance to join its ranks. Candidates must be at least 180 centimeters tall, possess excellent posture, show strong discipline, maintain psychological stability, and demonstrate flawless drill training. These were the qualities that once allowed Daniyar to successfully pass the selection and become one of the faces of the National Guard at state ceremonies.
Private Bekzhanov’s service is now nearing completion. Throughout his time in the company, he has undergone intensive training in discipline, attention to detail, and psychological resilience. His journey demonstrates that serving in an elite unit fosters personal growth and instills a high level of responsibility in young guardsmen.
“It is a great honor to be part of the Honor Guard Company. The service has taught me discipline, focus, and endurance. I have become stronger both physically and mentally,” said Daniyar Bekzhanov.
During his service, Private Bekzhanov took part in key events of the National Guard. Among them was the “100 Days Until Victory” campaign dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. As part of this initiative, Daniyar participated in meetings with veterans, patriotism and courage lessons in military units, as well as festive activities held in public spaces.
The Honor Guard Company performs ceremonial and representative functions at the state level, including participation in parades, wreath-laying ceremonies, and events involving the leadership of the National Guard. Training intensity in the unit reaches up to 120 hours per week, with a significant portion devoted to drill performance, synchronized movements, and mastering complex ceremonial elements.
This year’s autumn selection is expected to be no less competitive than in previous years. The Honor Guard Company remains a symbol of impeccable bearing, discipline, and unwavering military honor.
