Brasilia, December 5, 2025 - As part of previously reached agreements, a Memorandum of Cooperation in IT was signed online at the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil between Deybson de S.Cipriano, President of the Association of Information Technology Specialists (ASSESPRO), and Aiymgul Abileva, President of the Kazakhstan Association of IT Companies.
The document envisages cooperation between the two countries in this area, integrating the business community, and promoting IT projects. Furthermore, it is envisaged that both organizations will hold joint forums on the implementation of new IT technologies, digitalization, and the development of artificial intelligence, with the participation of IT companies from both countries, both in person and online.
It should be noted that the signing of this document and the establishment of cooperation between the two associations will contribute to the implementation of the objectives set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan «Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation» dated September 8, 2025.
In particular, Kazakhstan and Brazil possess enormous potential in digital modernization and have established initial positions and priorities in this area. A key component of the digital dialogue between the two countries will be the exchange of experiences in the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence, big data, and digitalization technologies in various sectors of the national economy.
The Kazakh Ambassador Bolat Nussupov invited Kazakh and Brazilian companies—members of both associations—to participate in the Business Council, the next meeting of which is scheduled for Kazakhstan in spring 2026.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to share a calendar of Kazakh and Brazilian IT events and hold a joint meeting once a year.
Background: Big data in Brazil is used in various sectors, such as healthcare, retail, and security, to improve decision-making and optimize operations. According to the Global Artificial Intelligence Index, Brazil currently ranks 39th among 62 countries.
ASSESPRO, founded in 1976 in São Paulo, is the oldest organization in the field of information technology and unites more than 1,200 member companies throughout the country.
