🔹Today, in Shymkent, the "Kara Shanyrak" handicraft and folk art exhibition was held at the city's Friendship House, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, December 16, and the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

🔹More than 20 artisans participated in the event, which was organized for the first time at the Assembly Square, and presented their works to the public.

🔹The event, which aimed to promote the traditional crafts of the Kazakh people, preserve and develop the national cultural heritage and promote it among the younger generation, was attended by Aigul Amzeyeva, head of the city's ANC Secretariat, Dosybai Sherimkulov, member of the Council of Elders under the city's ANC, chairmen and activists of city ethno-cultural associations, and city residents.

🔹Speaking to the guests who came to see the exhibition, the head of the city's ANC secretariat emphasized the importance of the event and noted that representatives of local ethnic groups are also participating in the promotion and recognition of the crafts of the Kazakh people.

– Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at the National Congress: “Reviving our national culture, traditions, including crafts, is the main way to preserve the identity of the nation.” Today, our national crafts are being revived and are widely used in various fields, such as the fashion industry, tourism, and interior design. Young masters are combining traditional methods with modern technologies and forming new directions. Kazakh crafts are highly valued at international exhibitions, – Aigul Tursynbekovna.

🔹Craftsmen who participated in the noble event that glorified national crafts were awarded special letters of gratitude and souvenirs, and the event continued with a concert program at the end of the exhibition.
