Serving society means responsibility and a client-oriented approach

On December 17, 2025, the Head of the Akim’s Office of the district and Ethics Commissioner O. Bocharnikova held a meeting in the format of a dialogue platform with the staff of the Department of Internal Policy, Culture, Language Development and Sports of the Zhaksy District.
Employees of this sector play a key role in shaping the ideological and cultural environment of the district, as well as in engaging citizens in corruption prevention efforts.

Key focus areas of the meeting:

🔹 Anti-corruption discipline: restrictions related to public service were discussed in detail. The law is the same for everyone, and knowledge of its norms is our main safeguard.

🔹 Ban on gambling: special attention was paid to the strict prohibition for civil servants to participate in gambling and betting. This is a fundamental issue of the image and integrity of a public servant.

🔹 Responsibility of managers: the personal responsibility of senior managers for offenses committed by their subordinates was emphasized.

🔹 Code of Ethics: standards of conduct that should serve as an internal guideline for every civil servant were reviewed once again.

Our goal is not only to fulfill functional duties, but also to foster a high anti-corruption culture in the district. Public trust begins with honesty and openness.

As a result of the meeting, recommendations were given to the staff to strengthen the principles of public service. I am confident that colleagues will adopt them as the basis of their daily work.
