Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Yuriko Koike discussed cooperation in the areas of digitalization, smart city technologies and sustainable urban development, artificial intelligence, and the introduction of innovative solutions in urban management.

It also considered creating a more comfortable, environmentally friendly, safe, and inclusive environment for residents and visitors of megacities.

The Head of State emphasized the great potential for cooperation between the capitals of the two countries in introducing artificial intelligence into city management.

During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was introduced to the Smart City concept of Tokyo. The project aims to improve the quality of life of the population, increase the efficiency of city management, and use advanced technologies for sustainable development.
